ARTHUR E. NARVERUD
ASA - President

Mr. Narverud has been engaged full time as a Machinery and Equipment Appraiser since 1983. He was the former Chairman of the International Board of Examiners of the American Society of Appraisers and is an Emeritus Member of the organization's Machinery and Technical Specialties Committee. He is experienced in many aspects of equipment valuation including: Insurance, Leasing, Litigation, Liquidation, Eminent Domain, Property Records, Ad Valorem Tax, Foreclosure, Allocation and Financing. His professional designations and affiliations include: ASA - Senior Accredited Appraiser, American Society of Appraisers (Machinery and Technical Specialties); SAA - Member, Society of Auditor-Appraisers; AAA - Member, American Arbitration Association; AACE - Member, American Association of Cost Engineers, IRWA - Member, International Right of way Association.

Art attended the University of California at Berkeley obtaining degrees in Political Science and Sociology. He has taken and passed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) as promulgated by the Appraisal Foundation and has attended numerous seminars and courses offered by the ASA, AIREA and the University of California Extension. Art has lectured on appraisal technology on behalf of the American Society of Appraisers and the International Right of Way Association. He has published articles in the MTS Journal and contributed to the publication of Valuing Machinery and Equipment, the most comprehensive text on the discipline.

Prior to founding Narvco Enterprises, Inc., Art was a Senior Appraiser with Arthur Andersen & Co. and a Staff Appraiser with Marshall and Stevens Inc. and Tait Appraisal Co., in San Francisco. Art is a Senior Affiliate of Valuation Associates and has served as a consultant to Big 4 accounting firms and major appraisal companies throughout the United States.

JAMES G. DICKOW
Senior Associate

Mr. Dickow has been engaged full time as a Machinery and Equipment Appraiser since 1964. He is an independent fee appraiser and has been affiliated with Narvco Enterprises, Inc. since 1989.  He has served as an officer of the San Francisco Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers.

He is experienced in many aspects of equipment valuation including: Insurance, Leasing, Litigation, Liquidation, Eminent Domain, Property Records, Ad Valorem Tax, Foreclosure, Allocation and Financing. He is a retired ASA - Senior Accredited Appraiser, American Society of Appraisers (Machinery and Technical Specialties).

Jim obtained an Associate in Arts degree from Vallejo Junior College and attended San Jose State University. His recent coursework has included Appraisal I & Appraisal II at Contra Costa College. He has taken and passed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) as promulgated by the Appraisal Foundation and has attended numerous seminars and courses offered by the ASA and AIREA.

Jim's prior affiliations include Tait Appraisal Company, South San Francisco, California where he prepared appraisals of all types of machinery and equipment as well as construction cost estimating. Jim also worked for General and American Appraisal Companies in their San Francisco Bay Area offices where he specialized in large industrial assignments.
